Although quaint by Western standards, Tamarindo (and Flamingo) are the most developed towns along Guanacaste’s coastline. From La Meridiana, they are equidistant at 8 kilometers (5 miles) along either of the main roads.
Tamarindo is a place full of contrasts that encloses modern conveniences as well as the energy of a region with little exploration. It is a town where foreigners feel at home among luxury hotels, gourmet restaurants, supermarkets, banks and shops as well as numerous beach terraces for a sunset drink. |
